Sailing with ‘Sip Sip’

Today I am excited to share my recent adventures on board Sip Sip, a 62ft Lagoon Sailing Catamaran.

It was a glorious, sunny day as I reached Nanny Cay and hopped onboard Sip Sip. Stepping onto the vessel, we were embraced by the vibrant crew, Christian and Lida, whose cheerful faces set the tone for the day full of promise. The sight of fresh fruit and mouth-watering homemade banana bread on the table was a welcoming sight. As we settled in for the safety briefing, a refreshing mimosa in hand added a touch of elegance to kick off our adventures at sea.

Our destination for the day was Privateer Bay, a beautiful bay not far from the ‘caves’. I eagerly explored the luxurious vessel, Sip Sip, discovering its inviting features. The 3 queen size cabins, each equipped with personalized air conditioning, smart TV’s, and ensuite bathrooms, offered a cozy retreat for the six guests aboard. The bright and spacious full-beam saloon with its wrap-around windows and adjustable coffee tables created a warm ambiance, complemented by the hidden galley.

Once we left the dock, I settled on the flybridge with a glass of bubbly in hand. The view as Captain Christian skillfully raised the sails and guided us across the channel towards Norman Island was simply breathtaking.

Christian dropped the anchor in the beautiful, warm waters, and the gentle waves rocked the boat, providing a soothing soundtrack to our adventure. The crew, seasoned sailors who moved with precision and grace, quickly dropped the stern ladders for easy access to the water, inviting us to immerse ourselves in the cool embrace of the sea. Eager to explore the underwater wonders, I wasted no time in plunging into the crystal-clear waters.

After working up an appetite with a swim, it was time to ascend back to the yacht for lunch. The tantalizing aroma wafting from the onboard kitchen hinted at the culinary delights awaiting us. The talented chef Lida, had whipped up a three-course meal, each dish a masterpiece of flavors and presentation.

We dined al fresco on the deck, the gentle breeze carrying the scent of the sea as we savored each delectable bite. From the fresh seafood starter to the decadent desserts that melted in our mouths, every bite was a celebration of the lavish life at sea. Captain Christian moved swiftly around us, refilling our glasses with Rosé and pouring Espresso Martinis with a smile on his face. Everything we needed onboard was there, served to us before we even knew what we wanted ourselves. The crew, were incredibly attentive and catered to our every need with grace and efficiency.

After lunch I took to the loungers on the foredeck to catch some some and relax with friends enjoying the beautiful views surrounding us.

As the day drew to a close, we reluctantly pulled up anchor and set sail back towards Nanny Cay, feeling the bittersweet ending of our day on Sip Sip. The sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky with warm hues that reflected beautifully on the water.
