The best cocktails in the British Virgin Islands
PAINKILLER
The infamous cocktail that must be tried and tested from the Soggy Dollar bar in Jost Van Dyke.
Notes: Shake non alcoholic ingredients prior to adding the rum.
RUM PUNCH
A simple Caribbean classic, made a variety of ways. Sometimes sweet, sometimes sour but always has a kick!
Notes: Combine all ingredients together with ice and garnish with fruit of choice.
BUSHWACKER
This frozen, creamy and ridiculously strong glass of chocolaty goodness is more of a dessert than a cocktail. Originating at the Ship’s Store/Sapphire Pub in St. Thomas in 1975 this is a must try when visiting the islands.
Notes: Drizzle chocolate sauce around the inside of your glass before adding the Bushwacker mixture. Blend all ingredients with ice until smooth and creamy. Add whipped cream, sprinkle with nutmeg and garnish with cherry.
DARK AND STORMY REFRESHING
Delicious, refreshing and easy to make. A popular choice in the Caribbean.
Notes: Combine rum and ginger beer over ice. Add a dash of Angostura bitters and add a wedge of lime to garnish.
PIÑA COLADA
One of the classics… A sweet, creamy cocktail invented in Puerto Rico.
Notes: Mix all ingredients together in a blender. Pour over ice and add fruit garnish.
TING WITH A STING
Ting is a deliciously tart and sweet Grapefruit flavoured soft drink, originating from Jamaica. A refreshing beverage that goes well with a variety of spirits.
Note: Mix together over ice. Add a twist of lime and enjoy.
